Originally from Creuse, Benoît started playing the horn at Guéret with Norbert Vergonjanne. After his baccalaureate, he continued his studies at the faculty of musicology in Tours where he obtained his first degree. It was at this time that he devoted himself exclusively to the French horn with Philippe Bréas in Rueil-Malmaison. He then joined the Haute Ecole de Musique de Geneve in Jean-Pierre Berry's class where he obtained a master's degree in pedagogy. He plays regularly with various orchestras in French-speaking Switzerland (OSR, OCG, OCL,...) and within the quintet of Geneva. He teaches in several schools in the Geneva region.
