Violin

Anouch Papoyan is a French violinist of Armenian origin. Fascinated by the violin from a very young age, Anouch began playing the instrument in Armenia at the age of eight. She later entered the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Lyon. Anouch won several international competitions and continued her studies in the United States with Mr. Albert Markov at the Long Island Conservatory, and then in Switzerland at the Haute École de Musique de Genève where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts, a Master of Arts in Concert Music Interpretation. She is currently finishing her studies in order to obtain a second Master’s degree in Instrumental Pedagogy.

Also passionate about chamber music, Anouch created her string quartet, the Orionis Quartet, in 2020 in Geneva, encouraged by Professor Gabor Takacs-Nagy, devoting part of her repertoire to folk music.

A versatile musician who dedicates her musical activity to chamber music, orchestral practice and teaching, Anouch joined the teaching staff of the Divonnes-les-Bains School of Music in January 2023.
