Léa PHILIPPE

Léa PHILIPPE

Saxophone

Léa started making music at the age of 9, first playing the organ and oboe, before studying saxophone at the age of 11, with Radek Knop at the Montserrat Caballe Conservatoire.

She then went on to obtain her Diplôme D'études Musicales with honours in 2021 at the Montpellier conservatoire, where she studied saxophone and chamber music for three years with Philippe Braquart.

She currently has a degree in musicology from La Sorbonne University in Paris and is perfecting her saxophone skills at the Haute École de Musique in Geneva in Joshua Hyde's class.

Alongside her studies she teaches at the Maison de la Musique in Divonne-les-Bains, and at the Maurice Ravel Conservatoire in Paris, teaching music to 6-year-olds.
