Trumpet

 

Originally from Italy, Simone moved to the USA to study jazz trumpet at the New England Conservatory in Boston, where he graduated with academic honours in May 2022.

He learned the art of trumpet and of improvisation from top teachers such as John McNeil, Jason Palmer, Miguel Zenon, Steven Emery, Marshall Gilkes and Ran Blake. He has had the chance to travel and play a wide variety of music in venues such as Boston's Jordan Hall, Florence's Conservatorio Cherubini and Teatro Puccini, and Rome's Teatro Arciliuto. He is a member of an experimental music group, the Jean Paul Agambi Quartet, released on the False Idol label.

Passionate about teaching, his philosophy is to provide students with the technical skills needed to play with ease, interpretation and pleasure, while developing their creative side. Technique brings creativity and vice versa.
