Valentin obtained his bachelor's degree in music, his diploma in cello studies as well as his diploma in music education at the HEMU in Lausanne. He taught cello and bass at the music schools of Chaussin and Frasne, and is now a cello teacher at the Maison de Musique de Divonne.
